Channahon Hosts Urgent Art Auction “Sips, Sights and Sounds” Tonight!
UPDATE: The Channahon Arts and Culture Commission is set to host its highly anticipated fundraiser event, “Sips, Sights and Sounds,” starting at 6 p.m. today, October 24, 2024, at the Four Rivers Environmental Education Center located at 25055 S. Walnut Lane. This event promises a vibrant evening of local art, music, and community engagement.
Featuring live performances by the local band True Vinyl and the Minooka Community High School Madrigals, attendees can enjoy a unique blend of artistic expression and entertainment. The evening will also showcase exquisite wines from Bishops Hill Winery, enhancing the sensory experience of this cultural celebration.
Bidding for the art auction opened at 5 p.m. on Monday and will continue until 8 p.m. tonight. Local artists are showcasing their work, with additional products and experiences from area businesses available during a live auction. This is a prime opportunity for community members to support local talent and services while enjoying an engaging evening.
The Channahon Arts and Culture Commission, established in July 2024, aims to promote cultural and artistic programs that enrich the quality of life for residents in Channahon and its surrounding areas. Today’s event marks a significant milestone in their efforts to foster community spirit through the arts.
