Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day Raises Funds for Children’s Health

UPDATE: Dairy Queen is making a significant impact this Thursday, July 20, as it launches its annual Miracle Treat Day across Canada, including Windsor. This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the event, where every purchase of a blizzard ice cream treat will directly support local children’s hospitals.
On this important day, net proceeds from every blizzard sold will be donated to children’s health foundations, ensuring that funds raised in Windsor stay in Windsor. This initiative is crucial for enhancing healthcare for children receiving treatment in the community, and it’s an opportunity for everyone to contribute to a life-changing cause.
Since its inception in 1984, Dairy Queen has raised over $55 million nationwide through Miracle Treat Day, making a substantial difference in the lives of countless children and their families. Lisa Harms, a Windsor mother whose five-year-old son Oakley is an ambassador for this year’s campaign, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support.
“London Health Science Centre feels like our home because Oakley has been there for so long,” Harms stated. “Being able to support the hospital and knowing the funds will help kids like Oakley is incredibly important to us.”
Miracle Treat Day is not just about enjoying delicious treats; it’s a heartfelt call to action for the community. Residents are encouraged to visit their local Dairy Queen and indulge in a blizzard, knowing their purchase contributes to vital healthcare services.
As the event unfolds, Dairy Queen and its partners remain committed to ensuring that every dollar raised will provide essential resources for children in need. This Thursday, make a difference in the lives of local children by simply treating yourself to a blizzard.
Don’t miss out on this chance to support a worthy cause and enjoy a sweet treat. Share the news and join in on Miracle Treat Day to help make a lasting impact in Windsor and beyond!
