DeKalb County Foundation Opens Urgent Fall Grant Applications Now
URGENT UPDATE: The DeKalb County Community Foundation has just announced the opening of applications for the **Fall 2025 Community Needs and Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund grants**. Nonprofit and public sector organizations are strongly encouraged to apply for these vital funds that support local initiatives.
Organizations seeking funding must submit their applications by 11:59 p.m. on September 1, 2025. This is a critical opportunity for groups addressing community needs in DeKalb County, Illinois, and beyond.
The Community Needs Grants program is poised to make a significant impact, having allocated $113,528 in May 2025 alone to help address pressing local issues. These funds are made available through the generous contributions to Community Impact Funds, Field of Interest Funds, and Donor Advised Funds at the Community Foundation.
Meanwhile, the Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants focus on supporting music education for nonprofits in the greater Chicago area. In 2024, this program provided an impressive $268,500 in funding, with a preference for organizations serving DeKalb County residents due to Wurlitzer’s local heritage.
Organizations interested in applying can find more information and submit their applications online at dekalbccf.org/grant-programs.
For any questions or additional assistance regarding the grant programs, potential applicants can reach out to the grants staff via email at [email protected] or by phone at 815-748-5383.
This is a vital moment for nonprofits and public sector organizations aiming to enhance their services and projects. Don’t miss this chance to secure funding that can transform community needs and promote music education in the area.
Stay tuned for updates as the application deadline approaches, and act quickly to ensure your organization is considered for these essential grants.
