Driver Killed in Early Morning Crash in Brampton: Police Confirm

UPDATE: A tragic two-vehicle collision in Brampton has left one driver dead, according to Peel Police. The incident occurred early Saturday morning at approximately 4:20 a.m. near the intersection of Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road.

Initial reports indicated a single-vehicle crash; however, upon arrival, authorities confirmed it was a two-vehicle accident. The driver of one vehicle “succumbed to injuries” and was pronounced dead at the scene, police stated.

The second vehicle, which carried three passengers, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Fortunately, all three passengers were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but are now reported to be in stable condition, according to Peel Paramedics.

The intersection at Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road has been closed as the Major Collision Bureau conducts its investigation, creating significant traffic disruptions in the area.

This incident highlights the urgent need for road safety awareness as family and friends mourn the loss of the deceased driver. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
