Driver Killed in Urgent 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 35
UPDATE: A tragic two-vehicle collision in Kawartha Lakes has left one driver dead, following an incident that occurred on Saturday morning around 11 a.m.. According to the Ontario Provincial Police, the crash took place on Highway 35, north of Ballyduff Road, involving a passenger car and a cargo van.
The deceased has been identified as a 63-year-old driver from Lindsay, Ontario, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders quickly arrived, but unfortunately, they were unable to save him. The driver of the cargo van was transported to the hospital with what authorities describe as minor injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under investigation, with police urging anyone with information to come forward. This incident is a stark reminder of the potential dangers on our roads, and community members are mourning the loss of life in this tragic event.
