Edmonton Police Urgently Seek Witnesses in Early Morning Crash
UPDATE: Edmonton Police are urgently seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage regarding a serious crash on Anthony Henday Drive near 184 Street that occurred in the early hours of October 31. The incident was reported at 2:41 a.m. on Friday, and authorities are calling for immediate assistance from the public.
In a dramatic turn of events, a white Mitsubishi Lancer collided with the pillars of the 184 Street overpass, leading to a vehicle fire. Fortunately, a road maintenance worker quickly intervened, extinguishing the flames with a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.
The driver was extracted from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital, where he is currently in critical but stable condition. The severity of his injuries highlights the urgent need for information regarding the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The Edmonton Police Service’s Major Collision Investigations Section is actively continuing its investigation.
