BREAKING: A mother-daughter duo from Elmira, Ontario is set to experience a historic moment this Friday after winning tickets to Game 6 of the World Series. Lifelong Blue Jays fans, Meagan Bingham and her daughter Ainsley Bingham, were thrilled by the news just days before the highly anticipated game.

The excitement began earlier this week when Meagan purchased $15 tickets to a Game 4 watch party at Rogers Centre on Tuesday, where the Blue Jays faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. During the third inning, they found themselves unexpectedly featured on the big screen.

“I was really excited,” said Ainsley. “She was all excited, waving her pom poms, and there were people everywhere screaming.”

In a stunning twist, the announcer revealed that their entire row had won tickets to the World Series showdown. “I just froze. Time stopped. But it was wild. Very fun experience,” Meagan described, still processing the moment.

Their anticipation skyrocketed after the Blue Jays clinched a pivotal victory against the Dodgers on Wednesday night, taking a 3-2 series lead. “Once I found out that we were winning last night and tomorrow is a potential World Series championship game, I cried myself to sleep. Excitement and anticipation for tomorrow,” Meagan shared.

This year’s Game 6 falls on Halloween, but the duo has creatively planned their day to include some trick-or-treating. With the support of local families, Meagan coordinated to take Ainsley out of school early, allowing them to trick-or-treat from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. before heading to Toronto.

“I ended up going on to a local mom group that I follow in town, and I had 30 amazing women come together,” Meagan explained. “They said that if I take her out of school a little bit early, we can go trick-or-treating.”

Ainsley is eager to witness an event that hasn’t occurred since 1993, long before her birth. “We may win the World Series and that would be really exciting,” she said, reflecting her hopes for an unforgettable day.

For those who didn’t win tickets, numerous watch parties are set to take place across the region, including in Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener, and Waterloo. Fans will have the opportunity to cheer on the team together in a festive atmosphere.

As the clock ticks down to what could be a historic championship game, fans across Ontario are gearing up for an unforgettable evening filled with excitement and anticipation.
