F1 Silly Season Sparks Urgent Moves at Red Bull, Mercedes, Cadillac

With a mandatory 14-day shutdown starting next week, speculation is rampant regarding driver contracts and team compositions for the 2026 season.

Max Verstappen, the four-time champion, has confirmed he will remain with Red Bull, alleviating immediate concerns about his future. This announcement is expected to accelerate contract negotiations within Mercedes, where team principal Toto Wolff is evaluating extensions for key drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, both of whom are not confirmed beyond 2025.
