Freestyle Snowmobile Shows Announced for Winterlude 2026
UPDATE: Excitement is building as the ByWard Market in Ottawa prepares to host thrilling freestyle snowmobile shows during Winterlude 2026. From February 6 to February 8, 2026, adrenaline junkies can enjoy four exhilarating performances, completely free of charge.
According to an official news release from the ByWard Market District Authority, the festival will showcase world-class freestyle snowmobile athletes performing gravity-defying aerial maneuvers up to 40 feet in the air. Each high-octane show will last between 25 to 30 minutes, delivering non-stop action and excitement.
The schedule includes one evening show on Friday, February 6, two shows on Saturday, February 7, and an afternoon performance on Sunday, February 8. Specific showtimes will be announced closer to the event, ensuring attendees can plan their visit for maximum thrills.
Barbegazi, the winter festival organizers, have promised a spectacular weekend filled with not just snowmobile stunts but also on-site music, entertainment, and opportunities for meet-and-greets with athletes. “Barbegazi brings its high-intensity winter action sports to the nation’s capital with free stunt shows all weekend long,” the organization stated on their website.
This event marks a significant addition to Winterlude, a festival known for its celebration of winter sports and culture. The snowmobile shows are expected to attract large crowds, transforming the ByWard Market into a vibrant winter playground for locals and tourists alike.
