Interior Provincial Exhibition Kicks Off in Armstrong Today!
UPDATE: The highly anticipated Interior Provincial Exhibition and Stampede has officially launched in Armstrong, British Columbia, today, August 30, 2025! This vibrant event is poised to attract thousands over the next five days, making Armstrong a must-visit hotspot in the valley.
Organizers confirm that this year’s IPE is significant as competitors vie for points in the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association tour, with the final showdown set for October in Edmonton. “Contestants are eager to earn points here, marking it as their last chance before the finals,” stated Heather King, general manager of the IPE.
Originally conceived as an agricultural showcase, the IPE has transformed into a multifaceted celebration featuring carnival rides, games, delicious food, and thrilling rodeo events. “What started with a few farmers and their families has blossomed into this amazing event,” King added. The exhibition promises an exhilarating experience for attendees of all ages.
What sets the IPE apart is its unique small-town charm. “Everyone loves coming to Armstrong because we have maintained that community feeling. We’re proud to be a rural fair,” King emphasized, highlighting the event’s welcoming atmosphere compared to larger fairs like the Calgary Stampede.
Gate hours are set for 7:30 a.m. daily, with the midway opening at 11 a.m. The IPE will run until August 31, and attendees can find a comprehensive schedule of events on the official IPE website.
As crowds gather and excitement builds, the IPE is not just an event; it’s a celebration of community, agriculture, and entertainment, making it a vital part of Armstrong’s cultural fabric.
Stay tuned for more updates as the IPE unfolds, and don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to experience the best of rural life and community spirit!
