On the boys’ soccer front, Plano emerged victorious against Morris, 7-5, ending Morris’ season in a nail-biting match at the Class 2A Marmion Regional. Meanwhile, Romeoville secured a narrow victory against East Aurora, winning 1-0 and advancing to face Naperville North in the regional semifinals on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

In boys cross country, Joliet Catholic finished eighth overall at the ESCC Championship with a total of 211 points. Notably, Chris Corsi placed 27th as an individual runner. The SWSC Conference Meet saw Lincoln-Way Central secure second place with 64 points, while Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way West followed closely behind. Bryce Counihan from LWC shone with a time of 15:01.02, finishing second.

On the girls’ cross country side, Joliet Catholic performed admirably, finishing sixth with 131 points and led by standout Mary Kate Moran, who clocked in at 18:29.2 to finish second. The SWSC Conference Meet saw Lincoln-Way Central dominate, placing first with 22 points.
