Kamloops High School Gun Threat Confirmed as Prank, Suspect ID’d

Superintendent Jeff Pelley of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment revealed that the alarming call originated from inside the school itself. Following a swift investigation, officers discovered that a student had used an unattended phone to make the prank 911 call.

Superintendent Pelley stated, “In order to maintain the safety of the students, a lockdown was initiated until investigators could assess the legitimacy of the report of a firearm in the school.”
