Liberty Gold Announces Major Gold Recovery Breakthrough at Black Pine
BREAKING NEWS: Liberty Gold Corp. has just announced a significant breakthrough in gold recovery at its Black Pine Oxide Gold Project in southeast Idaho. The company reported a weighted average gold extraction of 80.6% from 24 column leach tests, confirming robust and consistent recoveries across newly tested zones.
This urgent update comes as Liberty Gold advances its feasibility study, demonstrating that the oxide gold mineralization at Black Pine is highly amenable to run-of-mine (ROM) heap leaching. The results are crucial as they provide strong support for a processing flowsheet aimed at optimizing project economics.
Liberty Gold’s Phase 5A metallurgical program revealed remarkable gold extractions, with some individual composites reaching an impressive 90.8%. The tests validate earlier findings, further corroborating the gold and silver extractions from coarse crush bottle roll tests, which showed an extraction rate of 78.9% compared to the column leach results.
In a statement, Jon Gilligan, President and CEO of Liberty Gold, emphasized the importance of these results, stating,
“These results further demonstrate that Black Pine’s oxide gold mineralization is highly amenable to ROM heap leaching, including areas outside the main deposit zones.”
This announcement marks a pivotal moment in the project’s development, as it de-risks processing strategies and enhances the feasibility model. The tests included samples from previously untested areas, including the Back Range and J Zone, expanding the metallurgical dataset.
Looking ahead, Liberty Gold is set to continue its aggressive testing schedule. Results from Phase 5B are expected in Q3 2025, while subsequent phases will provide further clarity and data as the feasibility study progresses, with a target completion date set for Q4 2026.
Investors and stakeholders are keenly watching these developments, as Liberty Gold positions itself for potential growth in the competitive gold mining sector. The Black Pine project is not only a past-producing site but also represents a promising opportunity in one of the most prolific gold-producing regions in the world.
As the news unfolds, expect more updates from Liberty Gold, as they continue to refine their strategies and share critical advancements in their ongoing metallurgical programs.
Stay tuned for more details as Liberty Gold moves closer to realizing the full potential of the Black Pine project.
