60 years ago, the women’s section of the New Sarum Golf and Country Club in Rivers concluded its activities with a two-ball foursome. The winners, Dorothy Forman and Isabel Stewart, showcased their skill and teamwork, marking a memorable occasion for local golf.
Fast forward to 50 years ago, where the excitement was palpable at Kinsmen Stadium. Bruce Clark delivered an electrifying performance by scoring in overtime, clinching a 2-1 victory for the Olympians against the Spartans in the deciding game of the Brandon Senior Soccer League.
