Lockport Launches Urgent Fall Branch Pickup Program This Week
UPDATE: The city of Lockport kicks off its fall branch pickup program starting Monday, October 2, 2023. Residents must act quickly to ensure their branches are collected, as crews will only make one pass through the city, which may take up to two weeks to complete.
To participate, residents must place their branches at the edge of the parkway with cut ends facing the street by 7 a.m. on Monday. This is a critical moment for homeowners looking to tidy up their yards before winter sets in.
The city has emphasized that there is no need to call for a pickup; simply placing the branches out on time will suffice. However, residents are reminded that if they miss this opportunity or require disposal outside of the scheduled program dates, they must utilize Waste Management‘s yard waste program.
Leaving branches in parkways or on other city property for an extended period could lead to a Code Enforcement citation, making it imperative for residents to comply promptly.
For more details on the program, visit the official city website at cityoflockport.net. Don’t miss this chance to have your yard cleaned up efficiently—act now!
