Motors & Music Car Show Raises Funds for Fallen Officers NOW
URGENT UPDATE: The fourth annual Motors & Music Car Show is currently taking place at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley City until 3 p.m. today. This exciting event, located at 20901 Langley Bypass, is raising funds to support the children of fallen officers, with four tuitions already funded.
Organized by Jovan Vujatovic, a former special reserve constable and a colleague of the late Abbotsford Police officer Const. John Davidson, the event has seen remarkable growth over the years. Vujatovic revealed that the show raised $5,000 in its inaugural year, doubling to $10,000 in the second year, and reaching $15,000 last year. “Each year I’m trying to increase the amount of donation,” Vujatovic stated. “The response has been really good out in the community.”
This year’s show features popular performers, including Alive N Kissin and Steve “Elvis Elite” Eliott, captivating attendees with live music. Additionally, Starbucks is on-site for the third consecutive year, providing free beverages to visitors, along with various vendors and a fascinating display of vintage police cars.
Admission to the Motors & Music Car Show is free, but donations are highly encouraged to support this noble cause. The community’s enthusiastic participation highlights the positive impact of this event, demonstrating strong support for the families of fallen heroes.
With the event still ongoing, attendees are encouraged to stop by, enjoy the festivities, and contribute to a meaningful cause. Stay tuned for further updates on the total amount raised this year, as Vujatovic aims for even greater contributions to honor the memory of those who have served.
