Nuggets Snap Raptors’ Winning Streak with 112-108 Victory
UPDATE: The Toronto Raptors’ unbeaten streak at Rogers Arena has come to an abrupt end as they fell to the Denver Nuggets, 112-108, in a gripping pre-season matchup on October 6, 2025. This defeat marks a significant moment in the 2025 NBA Canada Series.
The Nuggets, showcasing their dominance, led 64-56 at halftime and maintained their edge through the third quarter, entering the final period with a 94-88 advantage. Despite a valiant effort from the Raptors, who had previously enjoyed a perfect 6-0 record at this venue, they could not secure victory.
Christian Braun emerged as a key player for the Nuggets, scoring 19 points. He was supported by Jamal Murray from Kitchener, Ont., and superstar Nikola Jokic, each contributing 17 points. The Nuggets dominated the boards, outrebounding the Raptors 48-38.
In a fierce battle, the Raptors’ R-J Barrett and Brandon Ingram led their team with 19 points each, while Sandro Mamukelashvili added 15 points. Despite a late-game rally, the Raptors’ efforts fell short, underscoring the intensity of the match.

Defensively, the Nuggets showcased their prowess with more blocks (6-0) and forced a staggering number of turnovers (31-11). While the Raptors led in assists (26-22) and steals (17-8), they faced more fouls in the intense matchup (31-22).
