Over 35,000 Hydro-Quebec Customers Lose Power Amid Outages

UPDATE: More than 35,000 Hydro-Quebec customers are currently without power following a series of outages this morning. As of 12:45 p.m., over 31,000 customers in Montreal are affected due to 21 interruptions, according to a statement from Hydro-Quebec.
The situation is particularly critical in the Point-aux-Trembles area, where the majority of outages—13 in total—occurred east of Highway 25. In addition, the Outaouais region experienced 22 service interruptions, resulting in more than 2,600 outages.
Hydro-Quebec officials are working to restore power as quickly as possible, but no estimated time for resolution has been provided. Residents are urged to stay informed through official channels while crews assess and address the situation.
