Paddle Boarder Rescued from Deschênes Rapids by Ottawa Fire Services

Upon arrival, the Water Rescue Team quickly assessed the situation and launched a rescue boat. The paddle boarder, who was reportedly not wearing a **personal flotation device**, was located shortly after having fallen into the rapids. By **1:45 p.m.**, the individual was safely aboard the rescue boat and transported back to shore at **Britannia Beach**.

Fortunately, the paddle boarder did not sustain any injuries during the incident. This event highlights the ongoing risks associated with water activities in the area, as **Deschênes Rapids** is a popular destination but also known for frequent water rescue calls.
