Paul Annett, Esteemed Musician and Poet, Passes Away at 73
URGENT UPDATE: Paul Arthur Annett, a beloved musician, poet, and lifelong learner, has passed away peacefully at his home in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, on September 24, 2025. He was 73 years old. Annett’s unique rhythm of life resonated with many, as he leaves behind a legacy of creativity and storytelling.
Annett was known for sharing his rich experiences, including his academic and athletic achievements, along with tales from his extensive global travels. He had a passion for music and enjoyed captivating audiences with his stories. A former projectionist, Annett was also a trusted source for movie and documentary recommendations, enriching the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Annett (Pat), sister Marvey Rauk, and nephews Gabe Annett (Amber) and Tom Annett (Alicia). He shared a special bond with his only niece, Heidi Zagordo (Rob). Annett will be laid to rest alongside his cherished parents, Margaret and Harvey Annett.
