Paul Telfer Celebrates Emmy Win for ‘Days of Our Lives’ in 2025

Actor Paul Telfer received the 2025 Emmy Award for “Outstanding Lead Actor” for his role as Xander Kiriakis in the popular daytime drama Days of Our Lives. The ceremony, held on March 15, 2025, recognized Telfer’s compelling performances and marked a significant milestone in his acting career.
In his acceptance speech, Telfer expressed gratitude to his colleagues and fans. “Thanks for all the kind words, gang. He dedicated the award to his late mother, a devoted fan of soap operas, stating, “To win this for playing a villain is really wonderful, so thank you, mom.”

He focused on his character’s emotional journey, including pivotal moments with his mother, Fiona, played by Serena Scott Thomas. “I put in the scenes of Xander and his mother, such as the big reveal that she had caused Sarah to be paralyzed. So, scenes of sad Xander and angry Xander,” he explained.
Telfer also included interactions with Brady, portrayed by Eric Martsolf, showcasing the complexity of his character’s relationships. He emphasized the importance of these scenes in demonstrating the depth of Xander’s character.
In closing, Telfer made a heartfelt apology for neglecting to thank the show’s dedicated fanbase during his acceptance speech. “The one very important thing I forgot to do last night was thank our incredible fans – so I’ll take the opportunity now. Thanks gang,” he said.
