Police Recover $10K in Stolen Golf Equipment in Sechelt, B.C.
UPDATE: Authorities have recovered nearly $10,000 worth of stolen equipment from a golf course in Sechelt, B.C. The Sunshine Coast RCMP confirmed the swift recovery of items taken during a break-in earlier this week.
Officers responded after a suspect unlawfully entered the facility, stealing a range of items including food, alcohol, golf apparel, and golf equipment. The quick actions of the local community played a pivotal role in identifying the suspect, who was later apprehended following the circulation of a photo on social media.
A search warrant was executed, leading to the recovery of the majority of the stolen property, valued at approximately $10,000. The police expressed their gratitude for the community’s involvement, stating,
“The Sunshine Coast RCMP would like to thank the community for stepping up and working with police to bring this matter to a swift conclusion, helping reduce the impact on a local business.”
