Regina Faces Flooding After Weekend Storm Dumps 50mm Rain

URGENT UPDATE: Regina is reeling from the aftermath of a severe thunderstorm that unleashed at least 50 millimetres of rain this past weekend, leading to significant flooding in key areas of the city. City officials, including Carolyn Kilam, director of water, waste, and environment, confirmed this alarming development during a press briefing earlier today.

Floodwaters have forced the temporary closure of the Ring Road near the Ross Avenue overpass, creating hazardous conditions for drivers. “We are actively monitoring the situation, and road closures are necessary to ensure public safety,” Kilam stated.
