UPDATE: The Pet Station in Regina is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a special Santa photo day for pets and their owners today, December 2, 2023. This heartwarming event is creating cherished holiday traditions for local families and their four-legged companions, drawing in pet enthusiasts from across the community.

Just hours into the event, the store is filled with wagging tails and smiling faces, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement. Yigi Zargar, an employee at The Pet Station, expressed the joy these gatherings bring: “We love when people come together in our store with their pets. It brings happiness to their pets and to them.” The event is not just a photo opportunity; it’s a celebration of connection and support for local businesses.

Pet owners, including Jade Rayner, who attended with her rescue dog Maya, shared their enthusiasm. “It’s just great because I can print the pictures and give them to friends and family while supporting a local business,” Rayner stated, highlighting the dual benefit of enjoying festive moments and promoting community involvement.

The tradition of Santa photos is particularly special for Sunny Sutariya, who has been bringing his dog Lucky to the event since he was just a year old. “I’ve been in Canada for almost 15 years, and I always wanted my kids to have a picture with Santa. He is my kid, so there you go,” Sutariya said, underlining the emotional significance of these family traditions.

Another duo, Elton and April Preikchat, also made their annual visit with their dog Otto. “We do it every year and we love these girls,” April expressed. Having adopted Otto as a wedding gift in 2021, the couple cherishes the opportunity to create lasting memories through shared experiences like this.

The Pet Station, which has been a local staple since its opening in 2020, continues to thrive thanks to the unwavering support from the Regina community. Zargar emphasized the importance of community involvement, especially during the holidays. “I’d like to thank everybody for all their support. We love it when you come in with your furry babies; it’s an awesome time,” she said.

As the event unfolds, pet owners are encouraged to capture these moments and share them with loved ones, further solidifying the bond between families and their pets. The Pet Station’s Santa photo day is not just an event; it’s a heartwarming reminder of the joy our furry friends bring into our lives, especially during the festive season.

Stay tuned for more updates as the event continues throughout the day, and don’t miss your chance to create new holiday memories at The Pet Station!
