Samsung Rolls Out One UI 8 Update to Galaxy A53, A33, XCover 7 Pro

UPDATE: Samsung has just announced the rollout of its highly anticipated One UI 8 update to several Galaxy models, including the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy XCover 7 Pro. This update is currently live in Korea and is expected to expand to other regions in the coming weeks.
The One UI 8 update, which is based on Android 16, enhances user experience with improved stability and numerous behind-the-scenes enhancements. The firmware version for the Galaxy A53 is GYI2, while the Galaxy A33 receives version GYI3. The XCover 7 Pro, the latest model in this series, comes with firmware version BYI6. Users can expect the update to hit their devices automatically. If not, they can manually check for updates by navigating to System Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
This update is significant as it refines Samsung’s core apps, enhancing their functionality and user interface. The Calendar, My Files, and other essential apps become more efficient with this upgrade. Notably, DeX now utilizes Android 16’s Desktop Mode, offering a fresh user interface paired with new features.
Moreover, Samsung Galaxy AI’s Drawing Assist adds five new styles, including Insta Toon, Art Nouveau, Pop Art, Soft Illustration, and Webtoon. The Samsung Browser features a redesigned menu and tab bar for smoother navigation.
The Gallery app introduces a polished menu, complete with an innovative Audio Eraser button for video playback, allowing users to eliminate unwanted noises instantly. Additionally, a Private Album feature protects personal memories, while the new Now Bar provides real-time stock updates. Weather enthusiasts will appreciate the updated Weather app, showcasing richer 3D animations.
This rollout reflects Samsung’s commitment to enhancing user experience across its devices. Tech enthusiasts and Galaxy users should keep an eye out for this update, which promises to deliver a more refined and engaging mobile experience.
