Scooter’s Coffee and Woodie’s Wings Open NOW at Gas N Wash in Oswego
UPDATE: Just opened today, Scooter’s Coffee and Woodie’s Wings are now serving customers at the Gas N Wash located at the northeast corner of Orchard and Mill roads in Oswego. This new addition allows visitors to fill up their tanks while also enjoying premium coffee and delicious fried chicken wings.
Customers can now take advantage of the drive-thru service at Scooter’s Coffee, which is the first of its kind in the village. This popular drive-through coffee franchise prides itself on using only the top 10% of specialty coffee beans globally, ensuring high-quality brews for coffee lovers on the go.
Meanwhile, Woodie’s Wings offers a mouthwatering selection of fried chicken options, including double-smoked wings, which are prepared through a meticulous 36-hour process. This quick-service restaurant is a spin-off of Woodie’s Flat in Chicago, renowned for its award-winning dishes, including beef fat fries and milkshakes. “It’s the perfect spot to reach people who are on their way to anywhere,” said Tim Toomey, vice president of marketing for Big Onion Hospitality, emphasizing the strategic importance of this location.
The opening comes amidst plans for further expansion in the area, as Dunkin’ is also set to establish a new drive-thru kiosk at the intersection of Route 71 and Washington Street in Oswego. This follows Scooter’s Coffee dropping its previous plans to build a standalone restaurant at the same site due to construction and financing challenges, as reported by Oswego Economic Development Director Kevin Leighty.
The addition of these food and beverage options at Gas N Wash is expected to significantly enhance the convenience and appeal of the location for local residents and travelers alike. With the growing trend of combining fuel stops with food services, this move aligns with consumer demands for more comprehensive service offerings.
As these businesses open, many in the community are excited for the new flavors and convenient options available. Expect to see lines at the drive-thru as residents flock to try the latest offerings in town.
Stay tuned for more updates on local developments, including what’s next for Scooter’s Coffee and Woodie’s Wings, as they begin to establish themselves in the Oswego community.
