Shooting at Dallas ICE Facility: One Dead, Two Injured in Attack
BREAKING: A deadly shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas has left one person dead and two others injured. The incident unfolded at approximately 6:40 a.m. on September 24, 2025, when a shooter opened fire on the government building from an adjacent apartment complex, according to police officials.
Dallas police responded rapidly to the scene following reports of gunfire. The shooter is confirmed dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, while the two injured individuals have been transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Officials have not yet disclosed their conditions.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the tragic event via social media, stating, “There are multiple injuries and fatalities.” While the motive remains unclear, early reports suggest that the victims may be “potentially detainees” rather than ICE officers, according to Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security.
No ICE personnel were harmed in the shooting, as confirmed by ICE Deputy Director Madison D. Sheahan. The FBI is currently on-site to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This shocking attack raises serious concerns about security at federal facilities and the wellbeing of individuals within the immigration system. The community is reeling from the violence, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
As details emerge, the situation remains fluid. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
