Steven Page, former front man of the Barenaked Ladies, will take center stage to kick off the festivities on Friday, October 10, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Wilkommen Platz in Carl Zehr Square.
“We’re incredibly excited to tap the keg with Steven and ChefD this Friday as we kick off the 57th year of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest,” said Tracy Van Kalsbeek, executive director of KW Oktoberfest, in a press release. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, showcasing the remarkable growth of Willkommen Platz, made possible by the dedication of over 350 volunteers and generous support from various funding partners, including the Government of Canada and the Region of Waterloo.
