Suspect Arrested After Shooting Near Abbotsford Business

UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested following a shooting at a business in Abbotsford, BC, on Wednesday night, December 17. The incident, which occurred around 10:43 p.m. in the 31000 block of King Road, left no injuries reported, according to the Abbotsford Police Department.

Police swiftly responded to the scene and quickly disseminated a description of the suspect vehicle to other units. Within minutes, a vehicle matching the description was spotted on Highway 1 near Whatcom Road by a member of the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service.

The driver, identified as a sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested by Abbotsford’s gang crime unit and is currently in custody. Charges are pending approval by the BC Prosecution Service.
