URGENT UPDATE: New text messages have emerged in the ongoing murder trial of Montana Lewis, who is accused of fatally stabbing his twin sister’s boyfriend, Sam Graham Jr., on November 12, 2020. The chilling messages, sent shortly before the incident, reveal a disturbing intent that has captivated the courtroom and shocked the community.

At 3:54 p.m., just moments before the stabbing, Lewis texted his ex-girlfriend, Kadence Syrette, stating, “I’m going to kill Sam. Today’s the day.” Syrette, who testified in court, immediately responded, “what happened?” but received no further communication. This ominous message set the stage for a tragic confrontation.

Just minutes later, at 4:13 p.m., Syrette received another text from Lewis: “He’s dead. I’m waiting for him to get back.” She again reached out for clarification, asking, “what he do,” but was met with silence. At 9:09 p.m., after hearing news of the stabbing, she texted Lewis, “You stabbed him??”

The urgency escalated when Semiah Lewis, Montana’s sister, called 911 at 4:31 p.m., requesting an ambulance for Graham, who was found lying in a pool of blood on the driveway of their residence on Muriel Drive. Emergency responders arrived just eight minutes later but tragically pronounced the 19-year-old dead at the scene.

During her testimony, Syrette described the text from Lewis about killing Graham as “bizarre,” and under cross-examination, she acknowledged that if she believed Lewis’s claim of Graham being dead, she should have contacted authorities. She expressed shock at the stabbing, stating, “I never thought something like this would happen.”

The courtroom also heard from two other witnesses, who recounted their interactions with Lewis that fateful afternoon. Jaden Grenier-Mercier, who received a call from Lewis at 4:05 p.m., described Lewis as “super, super frustrated” and said he expressed a desire to confront Graham. “I told him to calm down,” Grenier-Mercier recalled, adding that Lewis insisted he just wanted to “f–k him (Sam) up.”

Another witness, Dustin Boyer, spoke to Lewis at 4:16 p.m., during which Lewis asked if it was okay to fight Graham. Boyer noted that the conversation felt “awkward” as both men were his friends. He described Lewis’s demeanor as distressed and not his usual self.

As the trial progresses, the prosecution is working to establish a clear motive and context for the fatal stabbing. Lewis, now 23 years old, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in this high-profile case that continues to unfold.

WHAT’S NEXT: The trial is set to continue this week, with more testimony expected that could shed light on the events leading up to this tragic incident. Legal experts and the community are closely watching as details emerge that could impact the outcome of Lewis’s case.

Stay tuned for further updates as this developing story unfolds.
