Tragic Coldstream House Fire Claims One Life, Investigation Ongoing
URGENT UPDATE: A devastating house fire in Coldstream has tragically resulted in the death of one occupant. Emergency crews responded to the blaze on Kalview Drive on July 24 at approximately 2 p.m., only to find the home completely engulfed in flames.
This incident, confirmed by the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, has left the community in shock. “This is a heartbreaking tragedy, and our thoughts are with the family and everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time,” stated Const. Chris Terleski, the media relations officer. The identity of the victim has been disclosed to their family, but has not yet been made public.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined as investigators from the BC Coroners Service and fire officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. Authorities have indicated that there is currently no evidence of criminal activity related to the fire.
