Trudel Family Christmas Concert Hits Rock Trout Cafe Dec. 23
UPDATE: The beloved Trudel Family Christmas concert is set to take place at the Rock Trout Cafe in Prince Albert on December 23, marking a significant first for the family and the community. This festive performance, now in its 16th year, promises to be a heartwarming celebration filled with music and purpose.
The Trudel family, known for their unique blend of holiday music, will bring their show to a new audience this year, moving from their longstanding venue in Albertville due to increasing travel challenges faced by their supporters. “This will hopefully make it easier for those people,” said Janice Trudel, who plays bass guitar and sings in the band.
With a lineup of seven family members, including a daughter-in-law, the concert will showcase a rich mix of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, bass, fiddle, drums, and piano. A special appearance by a grandchild is also anticipated, adding an extra touch of familial warmth to the event.
Colin Trudel, who performs guitar and harmony vocals, emphasized the special bond shared by the performers. “Because we are a family, our harmonies really blend together,” he explained. The concert will feature a diverse array of holiday music styles, including gospel, bluegrass, and country Christmas songs.
This year’s concert also serves as a vital fundraiser for Rose Garden Hospice, a cause deeply significant to the Trudel family. “Our family has used the facility a few times, and we have had experience with a family member passing without that facility,” Colin stated. Both Colin and Janice highlighted the importance of the hospice, describing it as a place that honors the dignity of life.
The Trudel family’s Christmas music tradition is a cherished part of their holiday celebrations. “There is nothing that compares to being on stage with your family,” Janice reflected. The concert is not just a performance; it signifies the kickoff to the family’s holiday season.
As the Trudels prepare for this special event, they hope attendees leave feeling a sense of joy and connection. “I hope they feel a sense of joy and contentment and just happy to be part of this community,” Colin said. Janice added, “I hope they get into the Christmas spirit and have some laughs.”
The concert at the Rock Trout Cafe promises to be a festive gathering, offering not just music but also a chance to relax and enjoy good food and drink. Donations will be accepted to support Rose Garden Hospice, ensuring that this year’s concert is as meaningful as it is entertaining.
Don’t miss out on this heartwarming event that brings together music, family, and community spirit. Mark your calendars for December 23 and join the Trudel family for a night of celebration and connection.
