Two Men Charged in Urgent Mississauga Armed Carjacking Case
UPDATE: Two men have been charged in a shocking armed carjacking incident in Mississauga, according to authorities from the Peel Regional Police (PRP). The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Ekamveer Randhawa and 20-year-old Parth Sharma, were arrested following an urgent investigation into the incident that took place on June 19, 2025.
The dramatic event unfolded when the victim was exiting his vehicle in the driveway of his home on Mineola Road. The suspects approached him, with one brandishing a knife while the other claimed to be armed with a gun. They demanded the victim’s car keys, watch, and cell phone before fleeing the scene in the victim’s luxury vehicle, a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Maybach.
Authorities report that no physical injuries were sustained by the victim during this harrowing experience. Remarkably, the stolen vehicle was recovered the very next day, highlighting the swift response from law enforcement.
In a follow-up operation conducted in Brampton in July, Randhawa was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his residence. He faces multiple charges, including robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime, and possession of property obtained by crime.
On August 28, 2025, police apprehended Sharma in connection with the same case. He has been charged with similar offenses, including robbery, possession of property obtained by crime, and driving while disqualified. Both suspects remain in custody as they await their bail hearings, having appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
This incident has raised serious concerns about public safety in the Mississauga area, prompting local officials to urge residents to remain vigilant. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the carjacking and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
As this story develops, the community is left to grapple with the implications of such brazen criminal activity in their neighborhood. Stay tuned for updates as details continue to emerge from this urgent case.
