Urgent: 1 Dead, 10 Injured in Vaughan SUV Crash; Witnesses Sought
UPDATE: A tragic crash in Vaughan has left one person dead and sent 10 others to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The collision occurred just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, when two SUVs collided at the intersection of Highway 27 and Rutherford Road, in the Elder Mills area.
The accident resulted in one SUV igniting, but all occupants managed to escape the burning vehicle. Unfortunately, a 69-year-old woman from Vaughan, who was seated in the back of the second SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of those injured have not been released, but authorities confirm their conditions are stable.
York Regional Police are urgently seeking witnesses to this devastating incident. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the crash.
