URGENT UPDATE: Guelph Police are investigating a shocking home break-in that resulted in over $70,000 in cash and jewelry stolen on Wednesday. This brazen theft occurred near Willow Road and Elmira Road North at approximately 2 p.m., when the homeowner returned after receiving alerts from his security cameras.

Upon arrival, the resident discovered a shattered rear window and realized that valuable items, including a Rolex watch, various pieces of jewelry, and designer bags, had been taken. This incident marks a significant crime in the area, raising concerns among residents about safety and security.

The suspect, caught on security footage, is described as a white or Asian male, aged 25 to 35 with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie, grey sweatpants with a black zipper, a blue and white baseball cap, grey or black Nike running shoes, a black backpack, and a blue medical mask.
