Urgent Arrests After Violent Bar Incident in Dauphin, Manitoba
URGENT UPDATE: A chaotic bar incident in Dauphin, Manitoba has led to the arrest of three individuals, as confirmed by the Manitoba RCMP. Officers were dispatched just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday following reports of armed threats and property damage, marking a significant escalation in local crime.
Witnesses reported that patrons were threatened with bear spray, prompting immediate action from law enforcement. Although the suspects fled prior to the RCMP’s arrival, they were apprehended shortly thereafter at a nearby hotel, underscoring the swift response of the authorities.
In a subsequent search of the suspects’ hotel room, police uncovered a troubling cache, including cocaine, meth, cash, knives, and various drug paraphernalia. This significant discovery indicates a serious drug trafficking operation in the area, raising alarms among local residents.
Among those arrested is a 20-year-old male from Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation, who faces multiple charges, including three counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He is also charged with uttering threats, weapon possession, possessing property obtained by crime, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with release conditions.
A second suspect, a 21-year-old from Roblin, faces similar charges, highlighting a disturbing trend of youth involvement in serious criminal activities. Meanwhile, a 23-year-old from Tootinaowaziibeeng has been released on an undertaking, suggesting further legal proceedings may follow.
The Dauphin RCMP detachment continues to investigate this incident, and officials urge anyone with additional information to come forward. This alarming event not only raises concerns about public safety but also the growing issue of drug-related crime in the region.
