Urgent Art Exhibit “Rooted in Reality” Opens Nov 7 with Unique Focus
UPDATE: The highly anticipated art exhibit, Rooted in Reality, by acclaimed artist Rosemary Dzus, opens on November 7, 2025, featuring a unique perspective on precarious work. This exhibition, presented in a graphic novella format, utilizes anthropomorphized vegetables to vividly illustrate the daily struggles of individuals facing uncertain employment conditions.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, November 7, from 6 PM to 9 PM, with an artist talk led by Dzus at 7 PM. Attendees are encouraged to engage with the artwork and the artist during this compelling evening event.
This exhibit is not just an artistic display; it is a crucial commentary on the realities of today’s workforce. By using relatable, everyday characters, Dzus aims to resonate with viewers, shedding light on the often-overlooked experiences of precarious employment.
In addition to the exhibit, a workshop titled “Story in Frames – Creating Your Own Graphic Novella” is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, from 1 PM to 4 PM. This workshop, also led by Dzus, is free and open to participants aged 18 and over. All materials will be provided, but spots are limited to just 12 participants, so early registration is essential.
Rooted in Reality runs from November 7 to December 13, 2025, with viewing hours from Tuesday to Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM, and Saturday, 12 PM – 5 PM. This is an opportunity not to be missed for anyone interested in contemporary art and social issues.
