Urgent Evacuation Alert Issued for Wesley Ridge Wildfire Area

URGENT UPDATE: A new evacuation alert has been issued for areas surrounding the Wesley Ridge Wildfire on Vancouver Island, announced by the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) late on August 4, 2023. This alert is a crucial step to ensure the safety and welfare of residents as the wildfire poses increasing threats.

The RDN’s press release highlights several newly impacted areas. They include residential properties along Lakeview Road (from 2700 to 2740), Marshland Road (from 2700 to 2800), and Spider Lake Road (from 1240 to 1260).
