Urgent Response: Kelowna Fire Department Battles Kitchen Blaze
URGENT UPDATE: The Kelowna Fire Department swiftly extinguished a kitchen fire this afternoon, just after 4 p.m. on September 28. Fire crews rushed to the scene at the corner of Ethel Street and Martin Avenue following reports of smoke billowing from the residence’s windows.
Authorities confirmed that the fire originated on the stove and quickly spread into the kitchen area. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, thanks to the rapid response of the firefighters who managed to snuff out the small blaze within minutes of their arrival.
Witnesses described the scene as intense, with thick smoke visible from the street. Residents expressed relief that the fire was contained before causing more significant damage. The quick action by the Kelowna Fire Department prevented what could have been a devastating event for the homeowners and the surrounding community.
