Urgent Search for Murder Suspect After Bodies Found in Ontario Fire

BREAKING: Authorities confirm that two additional bodies have been discovered inside a burned home in Bracebridge, Ontario, following a tragic incident that began with reports of gunfire on August 1. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the rural property on Beatrice Town Line Road shortly after 8 p.m., where they found a deceased male and the residence fully engulfed in flames.
In a swift response, police issued a shelter-in-place order for the area, which was lifted just before 2 a.m. on Saturday. However, the situation escalated on Sunday when investigators confirmed the discovery of two more bodies within the home. Their identities remain unconfirmed as post-mortem examinations are pending, raising urgent questions about the circumstances surrounding this horrific event.
Police are actively searching for 29-year-old Mitchell Gray of Bracebridge, who is wanted for murder. He is described as a white male, approximately five-foot-eight, with light brown hair and facial hair. Authorities stress that there is currently no ongoing threat to public safety.
The investigation is being led by the Bracebridge OPP Crime Unit, in coordination with the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch and supported by the Office of the Fire Marshal, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
