Urgent Search Underway for Missing 40-Year-Old Man in Kamsack
URGENT UPDATE: The Kamsack RCMP have launched an extensive urban search for 40-year-old Stanley Severight, who has been reported missing. Authorities confirmed he was last seen on February 15, 2023, around 5 p.m. in Kamsack, located approximately 270 kilometers northeast of Regina.
The search intensified following his missing report on February 18 at 4:30 p.m. Police have mobilized the search and rescue unit to assist in locating Severight, with an increased police presence expected in the area from February 21 to February 22.
Officers are currently scouring downtown Kamsack, focusing on back alleys and residential areas. They are urging property owners to check sheds and outbuildings for any signs of Severight. The police are particularly interested in any unusual findings that could aid in the search.
Known by the names Stanley Strongquill and Junior Strongquill, Severight is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair, tinged with red or orange. When last seen, he was wearing a black hoodie and red pants.
Severight has distinctive tattoos: letters on one finger and a small handprint on his right hand. He is known to travel frequently to Yorkton, Saskatoon, and Regina.
“We are doing everything possible to find Stanley and ask the community to assist us in this effort,” said a spokesperson for the Kamsack RCMP.
Anyone with information regarding Severight’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Kamsack RCMP immediately. Anonymous tips can also be shared through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
This ongoing search highlights the urgency of community involvement and the emotional weight of a missing person case. Residents are reminded to stay vigilant and report any information that may lead to Severight’s safe return.
