Urgent: Serious Injuries Reported in Langley Highway 1 Crash

UPDATE: A serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Langley has left one person hospitalized with significant injuries. The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. today, leading to an immediate closure of the westbound lanes at 248th Street, according to Mounties.
Authorities report that the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been deployed to the scene to assist with the investigation. Sgt. Zynal Sharoom emphasized that the highway closure may last for several hours, urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
Traffic is being redirected to the 264 Street exit, with one lane still open for eastbound vehicles. There is currently no estimated time for reopening the affected section of Highway 1.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and reference file number 2025-25738.
