BREAKING: The Oromocto and Area SPCA has launched an urgent investigation after a shocking incident where several newborn kittens were allegedly thrown over the Swan Creek Bridge in New Brunswick. This disturbing event unfolded when a man fishing nearby witnessed an individual discarding a kennel over the bridge.

The concerned fisherman immediately checked the area, discovering a kennel containing multiple newborn kittens with their umbilical cords still attached and their eyes unopened. The SPCA believes that the mother cat was also in the kennel but managed to escape before she could be rescued.

As of now, the kittens are safe and have been taken in by one of the SPCA’s foster families. The organization is actively working to locate the mother cat to reunite her with her kittens once she is found.

The SPCA is calling on the public for help. Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident or sightings of a new cat in the area to contact the New Brunswick SPCA animal protection officer at 506-461-9078.

This alarming situation highlights the need for community vigilance and compassion towards vulnerable animals. The SPCA is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of these kittens and their mother.
