Urgent: Suspect Sought After Stabbing at Toronto Cellphone Store
BREAKING: A man is in hospital following a stabbing incident at a cellphone store in Toronto’s east end on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews responded to reports of the attack at the intersection of Main Street and Danforth Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital.
According to Toronto police, an unknown suspect approached the victim, engaged in a brief verbal altercation, and then stabbed him before fleeing the scene on foot, heading east along Danforth Avenue. Witnesses describe the scene as chaotic and alarming, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
A friend of the cellphone store owner informed CTV News Toronto that the argument involved a customer who became aggressive. The victim, identified as the store owner, sustained a stab wound to the arm during the confrontation.
Police have released a description of the suspect: a 30-year-old man, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, black braids, and a short black beard. He was last seen wearing a black and grey puffer jacket, blue jeans, and carrying a black backpack.
