Urgent: Two Men Hospitalized After Armed Assault in Montreal

BREAKING: Two men in their 20s have been rushed to the hospital following an armed assault in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood early Sunday morning. One of the victims is reported to be in critical condition, while the other is facing life-threatening injuries, according to Montreal police.
At approximately 8:15 a.m., multiple 911 calls flooded in, alerting authorities to a violent altercation near the intersection of Prince Arthur Street East and Saint-Laurent Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found one man suffering from severe upper-body injuries at the scene. Jeanne Drouin, a police spokesperson, confirmed that he had been involved in a “fight with several people” but is not currently in danger of losing his life.
In a concerning development, police later discovered another man unconscious behind a nearby business. This second victim was also in his 20s and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Drouin emphasized that it is still unclear whether the two men were involved in the same incident.
As the investigation unfolds, no arrests have been made. Authorities are actively reviewing surveillance footage from the area and collecting additional evidence to piece together the events that led to this violent confrontation.
