UPDATE: Ross Durrance Road has temporarily reopened to traffic as essential embankment repairs are underway in the Willis Point area. The road was closed since August 11, affecting the stretch from the intersection with Hazlitt Creek Road to 320 Ross Durrance Rd.

Authorities from the District of Highlands confirmed that the reopening is crucial to maintaining public road access. However, drivers should be aware of upcoming closures on September 8 and 9, when the road will close from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving work.

Residents and commuters are urged to plan their routes accordingly as the initial closure was set to last until September 5. This temporary reopening allows for limited access while ensuring critical repairs to the embankment at 301 Ross Durrance Rd.

Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops. The District of Highlands is committed to keeping the community informed and ensuring safety during this period of necessary maintenance.
