Urgent: Woman, 57, Killed in Hit-and-Run in Montreal – Police Investigating
BREAKING: A 57-year-old woman tragically died following a hit-and-run incident in Montreal on the evening of July 14, 2023. Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
Montreal Police (SPVM) responded swiftly at approximately 7:45 p.m. to reports of an injured woman on 25th Avenue near Saint-Antoine Street in the Lachine borough. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim lying on the ground in serious condition. Emergency responders rushed her to the hospital, where she was initially conscious but sadly succumbed to her injuries later that evening.
“We’re still looking for camera footage,” stated SPVM spokesperson Veronique Dubuc. “We don’t know the circumstances exactly of what happened, but for sure it was a hit and run.” The urgency of this statement underscores the critical need for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward.
