Water Witches Paddle Returns to Enchant Wood Lake This October
UPDATE: The magical atmosphere is set to return as the annual Water Witches Paddle descends upon Wood Lake on October 4, 2023, at 3 p.m. This enchanting event promises a thrilling experience for all ages, just in time for the spooky season.
The festivities kick off with a Magical Market at the Oyama Community Hall, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can purchase tickets for this mystical marketplace on Eventbrite, featuring a myriad of vendors, healers, and local creatives. This is an ideal opportunity to find unique, handcrafted items that embody the spirit of Halloween.
For those eager to partake in the fun, guests are encouraged to arrive early with their paddleboards or kayaks, adorned with witches’ hats to fully embrace the whimsical theme. The paddle will glide down the beach across from the Oyama Store, promising an unforgettable experience filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Not interested in paddling? No worries! Spectators can don their magic hats and enjoy the festivities from the beach or stroll along the Rail Trail, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Convenient parking is available behind the hall and along the water’s edge at the eastern end of Oyama Road.
