White Rock Unveils New Splash Pad at Centennial Park Tomorrow
URGENT UPDATE: The City of White Rock is set to launch its exciting new amenity—the Generations Playground splash pad—tomorrow at noon on August 19, 2023. Located at Centennial Park (14600 North Bluff Rd.), this highly anticipated splash pad invites residents and visitors to cool off in style.
This interactive water play area is specifically designed to cater to all ages and abilities. With features including a spray cannon, a soaker dumping bucket, ground sprays, and a spray tunnel, families will find a refreshing way to enjoy the summer heat.
The splash pad is strategically located next to the park’s popular Generations Playground, making it a perfect addition for community gatherings. Mayor Megan Knight emphasized the project’s significance, stating,
“This splash pad is more than just a place to cool off; it’s a reflection of our community values of inclusivity, connection, and play.”
Construction was completed ahead of schedule by GPM Civil Contracting Inc., following a project that began in late April. The initiative received strong support from local organizations, including the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and the White Rock Firefighters Charity Association, which contributed donations and endorsements.
This grand opening is not just a local event; it represents an opportunity for community bonding and outdoor enjoyment. As families prepare to make memories, the city encourages everyone to come out and experience this innovative space.
Residents are urged to mark their calendars and join the celebration tomorrow. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting development in White Rock—a vital community hub that embraces fun and inclusivity for all generations!
Stay tuned for more updates and highlights from the splash pad’s debut.
