Multiple Stabbings on Train Near Cambridge Lead to Two Arrests
British police confirmed that multiple people were stabbed on a train near Cambridge on November 1, 2025. The incident occurred on a service heading to Huntingdon, leading to the arrest of two individuals in connection with the attack.
The British Transport Police reported that emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where a large-scale operation was mobilized. The East of England Ambulance Service indicated that several patients required hospitalization due to their injuries.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated that armed officers were dispatched to Huntingdon station at approximately 19:39 local time following reports of the stabbings. The two suspects were apprehended at the station, located around 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of London.
In the wake of the attack, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his concern for those affected. He took to X to describe the incident as “appalling” and thanked the emergency services for their prompt response. His statement read, “My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response. Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.”
Similarly, Paul Bristow, the mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, reported hearing of “horrendous scenes” on the train.
